PFRA Membership Statement
Fundraisers United is a registered member of the PFRA Australia. Our membership number is FU2025-001. We adhere to all PFRA standards, guidelines, and codes of practice in our fundraising operations.
Our Commitment to the PFRA Standards
As a PFRA member, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct in all our fundraising activities. This includes:
- Ensuring all our fundraisers are properly trained and informed about the PFRA's standards
- Following all site management rules and location agreements
- Implementing proper identification and transparency protocols
- Maintaining respectful interactions with the public
- Providing accurate information about the charities we represent
- Protecting the public's personal and financial information
- Participating in regular PFRA compliance checks and audits
Fundraiser Identification
All Fundraisers United team members operating in the field:
- Wear clearly visible identification badges showing their name, photo, and the charity they are representing
- Wear branded clothing identifying them as professional fundraisers
- Clearly communicate that they are paid fundraisers working on behalf of the charity
- Can provide official paperwork confirming their authorization to fundraise for the charity
Fundraiser Training
Our comprehensive training program ensures all fundraisers:
- Understand and comply with the PFRA Standards and relevant codes of practice
- Are knowledgeable about the charities they represent
- Follow ethical fundraising practices and respect potential donors' decisions
- Know how to properly engage with vulnerable persons
- Understand privacy regulations and data protection requirements
- Are aware of complaint handling procedures
Site Management
We maintain strict adherence to PFRA site management protocols:
- Only operating in authorized locations with proper permits
- Respecting site rotation schedules and location agreements
- Maintaining appropriate distance from entry/exit points, ATMs, and other sensitive areas
- Limiting team sizes according to PFRA guidelines
- Ensuring fundraisers do not obstruct pedestrian traffic
- Promptly responding to any site-related concerns or complaints
Donor Protection
We are committed to donor protection through:
- Clear disclosure of fundraiser status and charity affiliation
- Transparent information about how donations will be used
- Secure handling of personal and financial information
- No-pressure fundraising approach
- Proper opt-out and cancellation procedures
- Special protocols for vulnerable persons
Complaint Resolution
We take complaints seriously and have established procedures for resolving them:
- All complaints are logged and reviewed by management
- Complaints are addressed promptly, typically within 48 hours
- Serious complaints are reported to the relevant charity partner and the PFRA
- Continuous improvement measures are implemented based on complaint feedback
- Annual review of complaint patterns to identify and address systemic issues
